About the role
The General Manager at Nothing Bundt Cakes leads the team and oversees all aspects of the guest experience, cake production, brand and merchandise presentation, work environment, P&L management, and inventory control. The role aims to drive sales and profitability while ensuring high-quality cakes, a warm environment, and excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Directs the team and manages the day-to-day operation
- Ensures the highest-quality cakes and superior service are provided
- Manages the guest experience, including creating a welcoming environment
- Manages the P&L, inventory control, and other financial aspects
- Builds the team's commitment to the NbC brand and guests
Requirements
- Understands basic retail math and P&L principles
- Interprets and analyzes business and financial data
- Leads with a guest focus and exhibits strong interpersonal skills
- Delegates duties, communicates expectations, and manages performance
- Is highly organized and resourceful
- Possesses strong problem-solving and learning agility skills
- Holds a high school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary education preferred
- Has 1-3 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or foodservice
- Hires and develops teams, creates a superior service environment, and achieves financial objectives
- Manages productivity goals, inventory par levels, and team schedules
- Has foodservice safety training (or will obtain within 30 days)
- Has basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Flexible to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Post-secondary education is a plus
- 1-3 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or foodservice
- Success in hiring and developing teams
- Experience in creating productivity goals, inventory par levels, and team schedules
- Foodservice safety training certificate (or required to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
