How You’ll Impact

The General Manager is responsible for inspiring, managing, developing, hiring and training the restaurant staff and management team. The GM is also accountable for meeting stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure profitability of the store by growing sales and controlling labor, cost of goods, and operating expenses.
  • Hire, train, manage, coach, counsel, and evaluate all team members in partnership with the Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Create a culture of development; develop Shift Leaders into future General Managers.
  • Achieve NAYA’s objectives in sales, service, quality, cleanliness, and restaurant appearance through staff training and a positive, productive environment.
  • Ensure all food and beverage items are prepared and served timely and according to NAYA’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Create and approve the weekly schedule, ensure proper staffing levels, meet labor targets and FWW compliance.
  • Actively build and maintain NAYA’s reputation in the community, monitor online reviews, and conduct recovery and recognition activities.
  • Control inventories of food, equipment, and smallware; report issues as necessary.
  • Conduct ordering and monthly inventory.
  • Review daily time punches for accuracy; address time‑clock abuse via coaching and/or documentation.
  • Submit weekly payroll for approval.
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash‑handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Utilize daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting tools.
  • Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner (e.g., payroll, accident and injury reporting).
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotions.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of restaurant management/leadership operations experience.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Superior interpersonal skills; ability to earn trust and respect from colleagues and staff.
  • Exceptional financial acumen.
  • Thrives in a constantly evolving, fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Gmail, Microsoft Office, and other software; able to accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly and bend, stoop, stand, and walk 8‑10 hours a day.

Pay

Salary range: $65,000 – $90,000.

Schedule

Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and a variable schedule based on business needs.
