About the Role

LBA Hospitality is hiring a dynamic General Manager for the upcoming Home2 Suites by Hilton Ooltewah property, set to open in late 2026. This full-time leadership position involves managing all pre-opening brand requirements and building the opening team to ensure a successful launch. Once the property is open, the General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations and lead a team of associates.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food and Beverage.
  • Ensure the hotel operates within budget guidelines from the ownership group and quality guidelines from the brand.
  • Coordinate with corporate recruiters to maintain proper staffing levels, manage personnel, budget performance, and financial controls.
  • Resolve escalated guest concerns.
  • Ensure hotel staff greet guests properly, adhere to uniform standards, and resolve complaints to maintain a hospitable atmosphere.
  • Manage new hire processes, including required paperwork and orientation.
  • Review and maintain ongoing training practices to keep associates updated on policies and procedures.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and develop associates to promote a professional and cohesive team.
  • Monitor interdepartmental communication to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
  • Develop and execute long- and short-term financial objectives, exceeding budgeted sales and expense goals.
  • Review cost accounts weekly.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained according to service standards and report/resolve outages quickly.
  • Complete administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, orders, and production controls in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to company rules and policies, including implementation of new policies.
  • Maintain certification from a brand-approved responsible vendor training program.
  • Engage in business and charitable community involvement.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, within the associate’s capabilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience supervising at least 15 associates.
  • Three years of experience in hotel management, including managing budgets.
  • Prior experience in Hilton or Marriott family of hotels preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of government regulations applicable to the hotel industry.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and accounting processes (receivables, payables, budgets, invoices, payroll).
  • Practical knowledge of LBA rules, policies, and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift/carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with associates and guests.

Working Conditions

  • Physical presence at the hotel is required; remote work is not conducive.
  • Standing and walking for long periods while maintaining a professional image.
  • May require working any day/shift, including weekends.
  • Periodic overnight travel may be required.
