About the role

We’re hiring a General Manager - Fueling at our onsite location in New Florence, MO. The General Manager will own and oversee all fueling operations across the megasite, ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted fuel availability to support the site’s construction activities and equipment needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the onsite fueling team, establish staffing plans, daily priorities, performance expectations, and operational procedures to ensure efficient execution.
  • Manage fuel supply and inventory, maintaining appropriate fuel levels and coordinating closely with fuel suppliers, distributors, and other partners to ensure timely deliveries and prevent shortages or operational disruptions.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for fueling operations, coordinating with megasite leadership, contractors, equipment teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to address fueling needs and resolve issues quickly.
  • Oversee day-to-day fueling operations, including fuel dispensing, deliveries, equipment and fueling infrastructure, site logistics, maintenance coordination, and adherence to established safety and operational procedures.
  • Own onsite fueling administration and financial processes, ensuring accurate fuel usage records, delivery documentation, purchase orders, invoices, reconciliations, and other accounting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor operational performance and fuel consumption, identifying trends, inefficiencies, or potential issues and implementing improvements to enhance service levels, cost control, and overall site performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements related to fuel storage, handling, transportation, and dispensing.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating service needs, monitoring supplier performance, and escalating supply or service issues as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate information to your team and management. Establish reasonable and measurable goals with well defined expectations for team members.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in fuel operations or a related field, with demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced operating environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop field-based teams, including drivers, technicians, attendants, or other operational personnel.
  • Ability to forecast fuel demands and product allocations
  • Strong understanding of fueling operations, fuel distribution, fuel storage, inventory management, and onsite fuel delivery; experience supporting large construction sites or other high-volume operations is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage fuel suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage invoicing, purchase orders, fuel usage records, reconciliations, and other financial documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly to operational issues and maintain continuity of fueling services.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large, complex, and continuously changing jobsite.
  • Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence, with knowledge of applicable fuel-handling and workplace safety requirements.
  • Ability to work primarily onsite at a large-scale construction project
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
