Job Responsibilities
- Strategically plans, develops and implements company policies and goals.
- Directs activities of divisions or departments such as Sales, Engineering, Front Office, Housekeeping, and F&B to affect operational efficiency and economy.
- Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented.
- Ensures brand standards are met with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations, communicating follow-up actions to the team as necessary.
- Prepares an annual budget with appropriate department heads to ensure the smooth operations of the hotel, set financial goals and plan expenses.
- Provides analysis and strategy of monthly business review and analysis of monthly P&L results, forecasting and STR analysis.
- Makes decisions regarding the allocation of operating budget based on department budget requests.
- Develops and executes comprehensive sales and marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization.
- Provides monthly analytics/metrics, reporting on the effectiveness of the strategies.
- Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
- Anticipates and recommends strategies for need periods and helps maximize revenue generation in peak times.
- Monitors actual sales and revenues to determine variance and assess goal accomplishments.
- Creates an environment in which all employees have the ability to reach their full potential.
- Performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of Resort/Hotel Management Experience. Marriott experience is a plus.
