General Manager

About the Role

As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant General Manager, you lead your team in delivering an exceptional food service experience. You will train and support restaurant employees, ensuring food is delivered in a clean, safe, and efficient manner while providing customers with an excellent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor, and coach Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign drive-in restaurant employees to ensure operational standards are met.
• Adhere to and monitor employee compliance with the drive-in employee handbook, policies, and practices.
• Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepare employee work schedules; monitor and adjust staffing levels as needed.
• Monitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels; place orders for food, paper, and other supplies within cost control procedures.
• Complete and maintain all employment-related and payroll records.
• Reinforce a customer service mentality and ensure all employees focus on serving the customer.
• Resolve guest requests and complaints immediately and respectfully; report issues to supervisors as needed.
• Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Prepare all necessary operational reports and develop action plans to address unfavorable financial or sales trends.
• Develop and implement a marketing plan.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a restaurant general manager, catering manager, operations manager, supervisor, shift lead, or Restaurant Assistant General Manager is highly beneficial.
