General Manager
Job Responsibilities
Operate local branch drivers including safety protocols, warehouse operations, local sales deployment, and customer service teams to execute the Brenntag Essentials go-to-market strategy.
Use financial KPIs to measure and optimize local business performance—specifically tracking volume, gross profit, personnel expenses, and operating expenses.
Partner with key Strategic Suppliers and Product Management to optimize volume, pricing, and inventory.
Formulate comprehensive strategies for plant, equipment, and personnel capacity to meet both current and future regional growth targets.
Set clear metrics, recruit, train, coach, and manage performance across all branch personnel.
Develop a comprehensive strategy to address capacity planning requirements including plant & equipment and personnel to meet current and anticipated growth goals.
Understand and use financial Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and P&L metrics to measure and improve upon business performance including volume, gross profit, personnel expenses, and operating expenses.
Work with key Strategic Suppliers and the Product Management / Material Management teams through volume, price and inventory management to increase gross margin and gross margin conversion.
Provide leadership and set clear expectations and metrics for all branch(s) personnel.
Recruit & hire, reward & recognize, train & develop, coach & counsel, and take corrective action as needed.
Maintain documented procedures for work processes by working closely with branch personnel as well as Sub-Region, Regional and BES Divisional resources.
Requirements
Education: BS in Business Administration, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or Finance.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in distribution or manufacturing environments. Minimum of 5 years of direct people leadership/management experience.
