General Manager 4 Food - Schools (Enrollment 2,500-9,999)
In this leadership role, you will work alongside the client's Food Service Specialist to support day-to-day operations and client satisfaction. You will oversee daily food service operations, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while guiding and developing your team. Responsibilities include managing financial performance, building strong client and customer relationships, and driving sustained success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food service operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Guide and develop your team, including performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers to support long-term success.
- Set direction and deploy resources to achieve operational and business goals.
- Influence and negotiate with other parts of the organization to drive results.
- Lead dynamic teams in diverse environments to deliver outstanding food and nutrition services.
- Drive operational excellence while meeting financial goals and performance targets.
- Develop meaningful client and customer partnerships to enhance service quality and loyalty.
- Manage large-scale, fast-paced food service operations.
- Foster team growth through coaching, engagement, and professional development.
- Collaborate across departments to innovate and improve service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or directorship, preferably in large or complex settings.
- Leadership skills with a track record of building positive team culture, employee retention, and staff development.
- Solid financial expertise, including budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis.
- Hands-on, results-oriented approach with the ability to support and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and maintain strong client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of management experience.
- 2-5 years of related experience.
Pay
Pay Range: $78,000 per year - $88,000 per year. Incentive Eligibility: Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary.
