About the Role
A General Maintenance Worker (Filters) performs general maintenance of equipment and buildings, with a focus on HVAC systems. On-site training is provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Receives HVAC filter shipments.
- Replaces HVAC filters.
- Performs routine inspections while replacing filters.
- Identifies additional maintenance needs and reports them to supervisory personnel.
- Performs basic housekeeping duties (e.g., emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, cleaning drains, disposing of trash/recyclables).
- Maintains tools and equipment in good condition; plans and organizes assignments effectively.
- Completes work tickets and required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Demonstrates a professional, positive, and helpful attitude when interacting with customers, coworkers, and supervision.
- Maintains effective communication with management, employees, and customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain base access.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Must not be color-blind.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years of recent experience within the past five years in facility maintenance.
