General Maintenance Technician II – Handyman

Job Responsibilities

• Repairing and installing locks.
• Performing some plumbing duties.
• Assembling furniture and hanging pictures.
• Attending weekly meetings with the facility manager to review various projects.
• Maintaining and repairing facilities.
• Responding promptly to members of staff as needed.
• Ensuring safety and security awareness.
• Performing other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three to five years of related customer service and/or facility services experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to perform general maintenance at different clients' sites.
• Able to handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to work in various physical positions including standing, sitting, walking, bending, and repetitive movement.

About the Role

The Handyperson, under the direction of the Supervisor or Manager, is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across different areas of a facility. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, and the capacity to work independently. Quality customer service skills are essential.
