General Maintenance Person

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform repairs on electrical equipment using schematics and technical manuals; troubleshoot issues with tools such as ohmmeters.
• Operate welding equipment safely for structural repairs and fabrication tasks.
• Maintain facility infrastructure by performing plumbing system repairs and commercial touch-up painting as needed.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies.
• Lead or support team members in completing complex tasks while demonstrating strong leadership skills and fostering a collaborative environment.

Skills

• Extensive mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting and repairing diverse systems.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Skilled in refrigeration system repair, plumbing maintenance, welding techniques, and commercial painting.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for effective maintenance management.
• Strong supervisory or leadership experience in facilities or restaurant environments.
• Excellent customer service skills to address internal requests professionally and efficiently.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately; use tools such as ohmmeters for diagnostics.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work, welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance.
