General Maintenance Engineer | Full-Time [$20.25/hr]

About the role

Nestled on the shores of Lady Bird Lake, in the heart of downtown Austin is Hyatt Regency Austin – where caring for people to be their best is our purpose and the foundation of all that we do! We are in search of a talented and passionate General Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team!

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs primarily in guest rooms
• Assist with maintenance requests in other areas of the hotel
• Conduct preventative maintenance in guest rooms and some public area spaces
• Perform painting, drywall repair, tile repair, and wall vinyl repair as needed

Qualifications

• Previous general hotel maintenance experience is a plus
• Experience involving painting and tile/wall repair strongly preferred
• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience required
• Strong troubleshooting skills (electricity, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.)
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with guests and team
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight
