General Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• A General Maintenance will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas.
• Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included in the day to day upkeep.
• A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas.

Requirements

• 1 years experience as a General Maintenance Engineer or similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant degree is a plus.

Pay

The wage for this position is $31.58. This is the pay Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Schedule

This position will be required to work the swing shift 6pm to 12:30pm
