Bargaining Unit: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME)
Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon external funding
Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)
If Not a Standard Work Schedule: Some after hours and/or Saturdays may be required for recruiting events

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain grounds and landscaping of all 5 sites and 11 classrooms in the HS program.
Additional requirements will include but are not limited to facility upkeep, both indoor and outdoor repairs, installations, and needs.
This position will also involve moving items between sites and from purchasing locations to specific sites.

Qualifications

  • Required Education and Experience: High School diploma + 1 years of relevant experience, or higher degree.
    Preferred Qualifications: Landscape, Handyman, Maintenance Experience
    Special Certification/Licensure: Working Conditions and Physical Effort Environment: Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
    Physical Effort: Considerable physical activity. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
    Lifting Requirements: Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
    Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
