About the role
Licensed Claims Adjuster focusing on General Liability claims in litigation, requiring mediation and trial experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle a caseload of approximately 125 pending claims across all complexity levels.
- Establish facts of loss, perform coverage analysis, and conduct investigations.
- Determine compensability, liability, and negligence.
- Coordinate medical care as appropriate.
- Manage litigation, assess damages, and conduct settlement negotiations.
- Identify potential fraud and ensure appropriate use of authorized vendors.
- Perform timely reserve analysis and complete reports.
- Attend conferences and client meetings, mentor other adjusters, and assist management as requested.
- Ensure all file handling complies with state statutes, Client Claims Handling Guidelines, and NARS Best Practices.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned, which may include travel.
Requirements
- Licensed Claims Adjuster.
- Minimum 3+ years of prior claim adjusting or similar experience.
- Majority of experience handling complex litigation, preferably in General Liability.
- Mediation and trial experience required.
