General Ledger Accountant

About the role

La Terra Fina is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic team. Key responsibilities include preparing and posting month-end journal entries, performing AP invoice accruals, ensuring account reconciliations, conducting variance analyses, and supporting audit execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries for Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Manufacturing Overhead.
• Perform AP invoice accruals, coordinating with accounting team members to identify needed accruals.
• Ensure entries are accurate, complete, timely, and supported in accordance with GAAP, company policy, and internal controls.
• Prepare account reconciliations, including cash, debt, non-trade receivables, accrued demos, coupon liability, and V Card liabilities.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up.
• Participate in monthly variance analysis, identifying key variance drivers and partnering with budget owners as needed.
• Aid in the preparation of annual insurance renewal schedules and supporting documentation.
• Prepare, maintain, and enhance EPM reports within Oracle Fusion ERP, performing report tie-outs and ensuring data integrity.
• Support the annual financial audit by preparing PBC schedules and supporting documentation, and assist in coordinating internal deliverables.
• Assist in transforming accrual processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and documentation, and strengthen cross-functional outreach and accountability for accrual inputs.
• Implement month-end close process improvements to enhance close efficiency and quality.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong month-end close experience.
• Working knowledge of accrual accounting, prepaid accounting, and lease accounting.
• ERP experience required; Oracle Fusion ERP/EPM strongly preferred.
• Audit support experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Continuous improvement orientation.

Qualifications

Pay

$82,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually.
