About The Job
The General Laborer is responsible for performing hands-on tasks to keep the facility organized and operational. Key responsibilities include:
- Moves products within the facility.
- Loads trucks.
- Assists the Blender Operator in loading bulk trucks.
- Hangs super sacks for loading.
- Stacks products on pallets.
- Provides general assistance in repair and maintenance.
- Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping and washing surfaces.
- May be required to operate a company vehicle.
- Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Other work-related duties as assigned by leadership.
Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred: Ability to operate a forklift.
- Required: Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Spanish communication is valued.
- Required: Valid U.S. driver's license to drive a company vehicle.
Work Environment and Physical Aspects
The work environment is a warehouse/outdoor setting with moderate to loud noise levels. Outdoor conditions can vary widely, and you may be exposed to various elements. Regularly, you will work around moving equipment/mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations, and risks of electrical shock. Essential physical tasks include using your hands for many different tasks, talking, hearing, walking, sitting, standing (for extended periods), lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to 50 lbs or more), reaching overhead (up to 25 lbs), climbing, gripping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping, and working above and below knee levels for short periods. Safety is paramount, and extensive safety measures are in place to minimize potential hazards.
