General Laborer EM-FLEX Pouch VP- Sun-Wed 6pm-6am

Assists in general tasks to support the needs of producing and packaging products according to company and governmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Packing product
• Stacking and unstacking product to meet customers' orders
• Sorting finished goods
• Documenting damaged goods
• Verifying packaging code and UPC to match planned product
• General cleaning and sanitation of facility and surrounding grounds
• Other tasks as assigned by management
• Participates as a member of the team, including attending team meetings and fostering cohesiveness
• Supports Simmons' operating systems (e.g., quality, security, company policies)
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives

Physical Activities

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 lbs
• Standing on feet for the entire shift
• Must be able to work in extreme hot/cold, wet/dry environments

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Steel toed shoes
• Ear plugs
• Hair net
• Safety vest and hard hat where required

Qualifications

• Preferred industry experience: background in manufacturing
• Military experience valued
