Responsibilities
- Monitor equipment and perform quality checks.
- Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality, and customer requirements.
- Identify and understand customer requirements and assist in production operations.
- Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good housekeeping guidelines.
- Wear safety equipment and comply with safety guidelines.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as inspection, rework, and sorting.
- Collaborate with team members and adhere to plant policies and procedures.
- Utilize process excellence (PE) tools to improve plant performance.
- Engage in learning PE and Schreiber Production System (SPS) tools.
- Support PE initiatives and complete specific projects.
- Ensure satisfactory attendance and availability for shifts, weekends, off-shifts, holidays, and overtime.
Requirements
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and comprehension of the English language.
- At least two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Operate electronic pallet jacks and forklifts as required.
- Pass a post-offer background check, physical, and drug screen.
Qualifications
- Basic math, counting, calculator, and computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and bend/squat/twist up to 15 minutes per hour.
- Ability to stand up to 12 hours per day, walk up to 50 minutes per hour, and sit up to 15 minutes per hour.
- Ability to work in cold, hot, or wet environments up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and reach shoulder height and above repetitively.
- Ability to climb steps/ladders and work at heights occasionally.
- Ability to quickly access different areas of the plant frequently.
