General Laborer - Carpentry & Siding

About the role
The JobIntegrated Restoration is hiring a dependable, hands-on general laborer to support carpentry, siding, and exterior restoration projects across Northeast Ohio. You will work alongside experienced carpenters and siding installers performing controlled demolition, material handling, basic installation, job-site protection, and cleanup.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, carry, and stage tools, equipment, siding, lumber, drywall, trim, and other construction materials.
- Protect customer belongings, floors, walls, landscaping, and unaffected areas before work begins.
- Complete controlled demolition and remove damaged drywall, insulation, flooring, trim, cabinets, sheathing, siding, and other materials as directed.
- Absorb and assist with basic framing, sheathing, drywall, trim, doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, painting, punch-list, and closeout work.
- Absorb and assist with siding tear-off and installation, including housewrap, insulation, starter, corners, channels, flashing, trim, soffit, and fascia.
- Measure, cut, fasten, assemble, and install materials under the direction of an experienced carpenter or siding installer.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, pump jacks, scaffolds, and material-handling equipment after training and authorization.
- Take job photos and record time, progress, material needs, delays, damage, and assigned daily notes in the company's job system.
- Keep job sites, company vehicles, tools, equipment, and warehouse areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready.
- Communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and Project Managers, especially when site conditions or the scope of work change.
- Help with emergency board-ups, weather protection, Mitigation support, warehouse work, and other restoration field duties when carpentry or siding work is not ready.
Requirements
- No carpentry or siding experience required; experience in construction, roofing, remodeling, demolition, landscaping, maintenance, warehouse work, or another hands-on field is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently when assigned, and contribute to a team.
- Basic math and tape-measure skills, or the ability to learn them quickly, plus comfort using a smartphone or tablet for photos, timekeeping, messages, and basic job documentation.
- Professional communication around customers who may be experiencing a stressful property loss.
- Willingness to complete company-paid safety, equipment, manufacturer, and restoration training as you advance.
Qualifications
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move heavier or longer materials with team assistance or proper equipment.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and work from ladders, pump jacks, stages, scaffolds, and other elevated areas for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, sun, and other changing conditions and in active restoration environments that may be dusty, dirty, wet, or damaged.
- Wear and properly use required PPE and fall-protection equipment.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, access equipment, material-handling equipment, and company vehicles after authorization and training.

Pay
- $19-$25 per hour based on relevant experience and demonstrated skill.
Schedule
- This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Early starts, late finishes, overtime, or occasional weekend work may be required based on weather, project conditions, emergency board-ups, or customer needs.
- Work is performed at homes and commercial properties throughout Northeast Ohio.
- Reliable transportation to the office and dependable attendance are required.
- Exterior work is weather-dependent. Daily assignments may change to keep the crew productive, protect active projects, and move jobs toward completion.
