JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Help production workers by performing duties requiring less skill.
- Supply or hold materials or tools.
- Clean work area and equipment.
- Manually move freight, stock, or other materials or perform other general labor.
- Continuous, repetitive work involving a few simple elements.
- Pick up piece part and position in machine of feed chute.
- Visually check piece part for the completion of previous operation or suitability of raw material.
- Inform supervisor and/or set up men when piece parts do not conform to specifications.
- Make check of piece parts on simple gauges.
- Clean chips from machine.
- Maintain quality standards.
- Wash work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, or products.
- Turn valves to regulate flow of liquids or air, to reverse machines, to start pumps, or to regulate equipment.
- Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.
- Tie products in bundles for further processing or shipment, following prescribed procedures.
- Signal coworkers to direct them to move products during the production process.
- Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
- Separate products according to weight, grade, size, or composition of materials used to produce them.
- Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines.
- Read gauges or charts, and record data obtained.
- Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Perform duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
- Mark or tag identification on parts.
- Measure amounts of products, lengths of extruded articles, or weights of filled containers to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
- Pack and store materials and products.
- Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Manufacturing Experience a plus.
- Stand 2/3 of day or more.
- Use hands to finger, handle or touch 2/3 of day or more.
- Walk and talk or hear 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.
- Reach above shoulder, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl up to 1/3 of the day.
- Lift up to 40 lbs. continuously and repetitively.
- Close, color and ability to adjust focus.
- Lift from ground level to waist level.
