About the Role

Formally known as Williams Sausage Company, the newly named Greenfield Dr Plant is seeking a full-time Sandwich Packer to join their team. As a Sandwich Packer, you will assemble sandwiches using various components, package them, and ensure quality control.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sandwiches using precooked sausage patties, prebaked biscuits, egg patties, and cheese.
• Package assembled sandwiches using horizontal flow wrappers.
• Visually inspect packages for defects in size or quality and remove defective products from the line.
• Pack finished cartons into corrugated master cases, label, and palletize per specification.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area during production.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Act as a key trainer for on-the-job training to new team members.
• Promote team member interest in safety and help supervisors with safety awareness.
• Promote company culture of respect for all team members and notify the plant manager of any violations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of product codes, descriptions, and case pack configurations.
• Ability to perform manual dexterity tasks.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pack finished cases onto pallets in proper tie and high configuration.
• Willingness to perform machine wipe down and cover motors with protective plastic at the end of shift.

Starting pay: $16.95/HR. Work shift: 1ST SHIFT (United States of America). Please note that certain roles at Tyson require background checks, and candidates must complete additional tasks after submitting their application to be considered for employment.
