General Labor Operator 1st Shift
Duties and Responsibilities
- Run production and follow safety rules / procedures.
- Able to keep up with the flow of production and minimize downtime.
- Willingness to use band saws, rip saws, baler, and plussing machine.
- Build boxes with use of tape gun and staple gun.
- Help with inventory at the end of the month.
- Responsible for area safety and housekeeping.
- Committed to continuous process improvement and producing safe and quality products that meet specifications and our responsibility to our customers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Other duties as necessitated by the business.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is also preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Be on your feet for 10-12 hours.
- Lift up to 50 lbs in a continuous manner.
- Able to reach, bend, kneel, and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
- Able to work in hot and cold environments.
- Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts.
- Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
Qualifications
