Starting pay: $23.65/hour for Machine Operator - Scaler I, with a shift differential offered for 2nd shift opportunities.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday (working up to 12 hours per day and/or Saturdays when busy)
  • 2nd Shift: 12:00 PM to 8:15 PM

Responsibilities

  • Stage ingredients in accordance with product specifications as required by the daily production schedule
  • Weigh out various dry and liquid ingredients into appropriate containers
  • Record required weights, ingredient names, lot numbers, and other pertinent information on the mixer log
  • Operate mixers, ovens, and other equipment associated with the baking process
  • Complete and assemble all documentation required for quality assurance and production records
  • Perform routine maintenance of a clean and orderly work area
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to understand equipment instruction manuals, select proper ingredients, follow formulas and specifications, read instruments, and record required data
  • Knowledgeable in GMPs and HACCP program
  • Great attention to detail
  • Sufficient math skills to calculate inputs, accurately weigh ingredients, and measure samples by weight or dimensions
  • Ability to lift 55.5 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to lift 55.6 lbs. to 75 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 90% of the scheduled time
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations
  • Suitable temperament to train other employees on various procedures
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities while paying close attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
