Duties/Responsibilities:
The production worker position performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products. This includes painting, assembling parts, building crates, fabrication of products, running various machines. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
- Reads routing and performs work as assigned by team leader.
- Sews, cuts, clips, hooks or otherwise assembles the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
- Paint materials
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Place finished goods on the designated pallet.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- LEAN manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be able to read protractor
- Able to use measuring devices, measure to 1/64" fractions and .001" micrometer
- Strong Math Skills
- Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays
- Must be able to stand on feet all day.
- Must be able to lift up to 57 lbs
