About the role

Full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator positions at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. The role includes a primary care practice with a special focus on complex medical weight loss at Northwestern Medicine on the Streeterville campus. This position will serve as the medical director for the Bariatric Surgery program and involves collaboration with surgeons.

Responsibilities

  • Primary care practice with a focus on complex medical weight loss
  • Serve as medical director for the Bariatric Surgery program
  • Collaborate with surgeons
  • Precept medical students and residents in clinic
  • Participate in inpatient teaching service and other undergraduate medical education activities
  • Engage in research activities and clinical trials as a clinical expert or co-investigator

Requirements

  • Board-certified/board-eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Obesity board certified

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is $240,000 - $270,000. The pay offered will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, departmental budget, internal comparators, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
