General Grain Agronomy Operations Attendant
About the role
The Grain & Agronomy Operations Attendant is responsible for grain handling and plant maintenance at the location. Grain Quality & Handling duties include taking responsibility for good grain condition, conducting monthly facility inspections per OSHA standards, maintaining grain inventory moisture and temperatures in silos and tanks, and performing the dumping and receiving of producers' grain.
Responsibilities
- Completes all assigned tasks according to work order estimates and their daily work schedule.
- Delivers to customers products and services sold by the branch on schedule.
- Absorbs reliable attendance and schedules time-off with advance notice.
- Able to work additional hours as needed, including seasonal hours and some weekends.
- Keeps the Location Manager informed of operational, customer, vendor, or employee issues.
- Promotes the business with existing and potential customers.
- Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times; exhibits good customer relations skills.
- Performs required preventative maintenance and submits all preventive maintenance reports on time.
- Assists in the chemical shed with an automated load out system.
- Assists with operations in the NH3 plant and dry fertilizer plant.
- Grounds keeping as assigned by the location manager.
Requirements
- Cleans up grain spills; assists in keeping all inside and outside work areas neat and orderly.
- Continuously follows company employee policies, safety guidelines, and safety programs established by Key Cooperative.
- Completion of safety reports and required records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three years related experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Pest Control Applicators License of grade 7-E (beneficial).
- Class A CDL with Endorsements, or ability to obtain.
- A minimum of a registered technician, or a 1-A applicator’s license, or ability to obtain.
