General Foreman | Utility Line Clearance

Position Overview

The Davey Tree Expert Company is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a General Foreman/Foreperson, CDL holder and/or with climbing experience preferred, leading crews servicing Lorain-Medina Rural Electric in Ohio.

Job Duties

• Manage, direct and supervise crew leaders, field personnel and equipment as well as plan and execute assigned work by:
• Organizing and assigning crews and equipment to efficiently perform the required work
• Understanding and following all company policies, procedures, and work rules
• Maintaining accurate records of required work
• Overseeing the hiring and training of all Davey employees in territory
• Investigating accidents and promptly reporting to appropriate management

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA training
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• PREFERRED: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• PREFERRED: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• PREFERRED: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• PREFERRED: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
