Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental examinations, assessments, and treatment for patients of all ages.
- Examine the oral cavity, head, and neck to identify oral health conditions and abnormalities.
- Review and interpret radiographs and other diagnostic information.
- Evaluate patients' dental needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Discuss treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives with patients to support informed decision-making.
- Administer local anesthetics and other appropriate medications as needed.
- Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and conditions affecting the teeth, gums, and oral tissues.
- Perform preventive, restorative, and surgical dental procedures, including:
- Preventive care and oral health maintenance.
- Removal of dental decay and restoration of teeth.
- Placement and repair of fillings, crowns, bridges, and other restorations.
- Replacement of missing teeth using removable and fixed prosthetics, including implant-supported restorations when appropriate.
- Tooth extractions and minor oral surgical procedures.
- Treatment of oral soft tissue conditions and supporting bone structures.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited U.S. dental school, or an equivalent degree from a recognized international dental school.
- Current, unrestricted Massachusetts dental license in good standing.
- Current DEA registration and controlled substance certification as required by Massachusetts regulations.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of dental diagnostic, preventive, restorative, and surgical procedures.
- Ability to interpret radiographs and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
