General Counsel - MUSA

Position Description

This position is critical to safeguarding Mujin Corporation’s legal and regulatory integrity. In this role, your primary duties include:

• Legal Advisory and Compliance: Provide guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and ethical business practices to ensure the company operates within local, state, and federal laws.
• Interviews/Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with suppliers, customers, employees, and business partners.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential legal risks, conduct internal investigations, and recommend preventive measures to minimize exposure.
• Corporate Transactions: Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions by conducting due diligence, preparing documentation, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Represent the company in legal proceedings or manage external counsel when specialized expertise is required.
• Policy Development: Oversee the creation and implementation of corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Collaboration: You will work closely with departments such as Human Resources, Finance, and Operations to provide legal input on strategic decisions.

Position Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and active bar membership. Georgia membership desired.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in either Law firm and/or corporate in-house handling complex legal matters and negotiating contracts associated with capital intensive business matters.
• Ability to assess complex legal issues, provide sound advice, and make strategic decisions.
• Able to manage multiple legal matters concurrently and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, demonstrate diplomacy, and work well with people at all levels of the organization.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to handle and advance multiple projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting documents, advising management, and negotiating agreements.
• 5+ years’ experience in a related industry.
• Intellectual Property experience.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Travel Requirement: Less than 15%
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to work extended hours as required.
