General Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior legal advisor to executive leadership throughout the Americas region
• Lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of complex commercial agreements
• Provide strategic legal guidance on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business expansion initiatives
• Advisory on regulatory, compliance, governance, and risk management matters across multiple jurisdictions
• Partner with business leaders on cross-border commercial and operational initiatives
• Oversee legal support for employment, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, privacy, and regulatory matters
• Drive legal process improvements, contract management initiatives, and operational efficiencies
• Lead and develop a team of legal and contracts professionals
• Manage outside counsel relationships and legal budgets
• Support organizational growth through practical, business-focused legal advice

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
• 10-15+ years of legal experience in-house, at a law firm, or a combination of both
• Significant experience negotiating and managing sophisticated commercial contracts
• Demonstrated M&A experience, including acquisitions, integration support, and transaction management
• Strong international and cross-border legal experience
• Experience advising multinational organizations with operations across multiple jurisdictions
• Proven leadership experience managing legal teams and developing talent
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Strong project management capabilities and ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives
