Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior legal advisor to executive leadership throughout the Americas region
- Lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of complex commercial agreements
- Provide strategic legal guidance on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business expansion initiatives
- Advisory on regulatory, compliance, governance, and risk management matters across multiple jurisdictions
- Partner with business leaders on cross-border commercial and operational initiatives
- Oversee legal support for employment, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, privacy, and regulatory matters
- Drive legal process improvements, contract management initiatives, and operational efficiencies
- Lead and develop a team of legal and contracts professionals
- Manage outside counsel relationships and legal budgets
- Support organizational growth through practical, business-focused legal advice
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 10-15+ years of legal experience in-house, at a law firm, or a combination of both
- Significant experience negotiating and managing sophisticated commercial contracts
- Demonstrated M&A experience, including acquisitions, integration support, and transaction management
- Strong international and cross-border legal experience
- Experience advising multinational organizations with operations across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven leadership experience managing legal teams and developing talent
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Strong project management capabilities and ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives
