About the role
Keystone is seeking its first General Counsel as an independent company. This is a foundational leadership role with real influence — ideal for someone who wants to build, shape, and lead rather than inherit a mature function.
Key Responsibilities
- Advises the CEO, leadership team, and Board on legal, governance, and risk matters
- Builds and leads Keystone’s legal function, creating scalable systems that support growth
- Oversees key commercial agreements, partnerships, and strategic alliances
- Pairs with revenue and business-development leaders to improve contracting efficiency
- Manages outside counsel relationships across top-tier firms and boutiques
- Owns governance, compliance, and risk frameworks for a PE-backed business
- Navigates complex matters involving privilege, conflicts, and sensitive stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
- This role may be a strong fit if you are a senior in-house legal leader (AGC, Deputy GC, or GC) or a senior law-firm partner with deep experience advising PE-backed or platform businesses
- You bring strong commercial judgment, comfort in high-change environments, sophistication around sensitive legal matters, and interest in building something durable and meaningful
