ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitizing/Spot Cleaning: Use a germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces with a germicidal solution, including doorknobs, walls, and soap dispensers.
• Bathroom Maintenance: Empty and clean ash urns and trash cans daily, refill as needed.
• Floor Dusting/Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum using an “S” stroke, paying special attention to under furniture and behind doors.
• Grounds Care: Clean and check sidewalks, flower beds, and curb lines for trash and cigarette butts.
• Food Court Cleaning: Clean and sanitize tables, empty and clean trash cans, and stack clean trays.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, be friendly and answer questions, report issues to supervisor.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks requiring walking, standing, sitting, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, fingering, reaching overhead, sight, depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and operating equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain physical condition suitable for assigned duties.
