General Child Neurologist (MD/DO)

Inova Children’s is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Child Neurologist to join our growing pediatric team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized children’s health system and contribute to the continued expansion of comprehensive pediatric specialty care throughout Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient pediatric neurology clinics
• Inpatient consultative services
• Opportunities to teach medical students and residents
• Participation in multidisciplinary pediatric care teams

Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Child Neurology
• Training: Completion of an ACGME Accredited Pediatric Neurology Residency Program
• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services

Qualifications

Subspecialty expertise in epilepsy, neuromuscular or sleep would be appreciated but not required for this general child neurology position.
