General Cafeteria Worker

Performance Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food and set up the cafeteria line(s).
• Reads and follows menu instruction sheets.
• Utilizes portion control when serving food to meet regulatory guidelines.
• Understands "offer vs. serve."
• Serves students and guests in a welcoming and friendly manner.
• Follows the highest standards of safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Correctly uses POS system where applicable.
• Correctly identifies reimbursable breakfasts and lunches.
• Sets up and balances the cash register drawer and performs necessary paperwork.
• Willing to learn updated technology where applicable.
• Assists KCSD staff with table set up and take down for breakfast and lunch programs.
• Works cooperatively with other employees and management.
• Maintains consistent attendance.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Performs other duties assigned by the cafeteria manager, head cook, and/or Food Service Director.
