General Building/Grounds Maintenance Operative

About the role

Murton Park brings the agricultural history of York to life, from the Stone Age to the present day. We are looking for a General Building/Grounds Maintenance Operative to support general building maintenance and ground works across the site, including our Roman Village and visitor buildings.

You will work with the Site Director to deliver the maintenance schedule, ensure the site is always well maintained, and support the set-up of seasonal events. The role is varied and includes working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds across the site
• Deliver the maintenance schedule in collaboration with the Site Director
• Ensure the site is kept well maintained at all times
• Support the set-up of seasonal events

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role involving general building and grounds maintenance
• Full clean driving licence
• Ability to work as part of a team and manage your own workload
• Excellent communication skills
• A love of animals would be an advantage

Schedule

Full-time or part-time basis. Usual working hours are 08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
