Primary Job Duties

  • Perform avionics checks and troubleshoot aircraft systems as needed.
  • Maintain proficiency in completing all required documentation and paperwork.
  • Repair avionics and electronic components in an avionics shop environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid, unrestricted, driver’s license.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret wiring manuals and schematics.
  • Effectively use component maintenance manuals to troubleshoot and service components.
  • Effectively use aircraft manuals to troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems.
  • Possess basic avionics skills.
  • Exercise sound judgment when working with others in a team environment and in matters related to aircraft maintenance and safety.
  • Possess a valid unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Provide the minimum required set of tools.
  • Experience and training must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited avionics school.
    • Military training in avionics or electronics.
    • An associate degree or higher in electronics.
    • Eighteen months of experience in the avionics industry.
    • A&P certification with prior avionics experience.
    • Must hold an FCC GROL license.

Physical And Other Requirements

  • Routinely lift up to 60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • This is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.
