About the Role

Ryder is hiring a Temp to Hire Warehouse Associate in York, Pennsylvania, offering weekly pay and a fulfilling career. This role involves working in a clean, organized, and well-run facility to ensure a safe supply chain environment. Products handled include motorcycle and automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
• Ensure all scanning is completed correctly
• Help train dock employees on new procedures
• Ensure facility is secure at end of shift
• Investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping
• Perform picking and packing duties
• Check for evidence of product or container damage
• Perform assigned tasks as described in location policies and procedures
• Participate in workgroup and team activities for self-improvement and warehouse operations
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of related warehouse experience required
• One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks)
• Powered industrial truck certification
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to input data into WMS computer systems
• Work overtime as assigned
• Ability to maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Pay

Weekly hourly pay: $16.50 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Fridays as needed
