About the role

The Tulsa Flyer is seeking a general assignment reporter to cover news and events in and around Tulsa. The general assignment reporter will report to the deputy editor and cover a range of topics that may intersect with other newsroom beats, with assignments determined by community needs and newsroom structure. This role requires strong news judgment, the ability to turn daily stories and write longer-form work and adaptability to the newsroom's needs as we evolve. This role is based in Tulsa and is expected to work in person and on location around the city. Some evenings and weekends are required as news demands.
