Responsibilities
- Installing new roofs and roofing materials on residential homes and/or commercial buildings.
- Inspecting roofs and calculating materials needed.
- Repairing existing roofs and installing replacement roofing materials.
- Assess and document potential customers’ roofing needs and all consultations.
- Submit complete job files to assigned team members (job files include the signed contract, specific instructions, roof drawings, and all other documents necessary for file set up).
- Serve as a liaison to clients throughout the project; represent J.R. & Co., Inc. at all times.
- Coordinate and communicate schedule adjustments to customers and management; manage multiple projects and clients concurrently.
- Complete work orders and submit them for payment.
- Team lead, ensures projects are completed on time and to specifications.
- Conducts cost analysis; prepares and implements budgets.
- Conducts and communicates risk assessments with mitigation recommendations.
- Liaises between company, customers, and vendors.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
Requirements
- Prior experience preferred.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Highly motivated and accountable.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; a great team player.
- Knowledge of roofing materials and installation.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- OSHA 10 or 30, or willing to obtain.
Skills
- Physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials.
- Willing to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Able to work some Saturdays and at night, when needed.
