About Us
Do you want to learn the “behind the scenes” operations of a seed company and execute the processes of how the seed gets through the seed facility, put on a truck, and sent to growers all across the states? At Green Cover, we will provide you with a flexible opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a seed company while also giving you hands-on experience that will create opportunities for your future. Our General Ag Internship is focused, primarily, on the operations of our seed company and is dedicated to giving you real-life experience while you explore career opportunities in the Agriculture Field.
What Winning Looks Like
- Learn and Execute the Order Fulfillment Process
- Follow all safety, health, and other company rules
- Communicate and collaborate with your mentor and managers
- Operate Seed handling and mixing equipment conveyors, augers, etc
- Understand the Logistics process behind shipping seed
- Help our team fill 50 lb bags with seed and stack manually on pallets
- Help Plant and maintain cover crop demonstration plots with 100 varieties
- All other duties as assigned
Skills Needed To Win
- Flexibility to work overtime when possible
- Ability to bend repetitively, kneel and walk long distances while working in a non-climate controlled environment and outside in inclement weather
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights above ground level
- Must be collaborative, results-oriented and possess strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and constant change
- Analytical problem-solving skills
