General Accountant/Payroll | Full Time Year Round

Responsibilities

  • Work with the HR Coordinators on team member onboarding deadlines for payroll.
  • Contact managers if time and attendance is not closed or any questions prior to payroll.
  • Closing payroll and processing checks, direct deposits, and printing, sorting, delivering to administration.
  • Follow up on any payroll questions and make adjustments.
  • Process interim checks.
  • Process payroll reports such as PTO, 401k, worker’s comp.
  • Prepare payroll entries to the General Ledger and reconcile all related accounts.
  • Act as back-up for Accounts Payable.
  • Aid in the daily sales report, posting, and reporting, and cash out room duties, as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred and/or relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft products, including strong working knowledge of excel.
  • Ability to read, write, and present business materials.
  • Ability to apply basic math skills and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret procedural guidelines, write correspondence, and speak effectively.
  • Strong bookkeeping skills.
