About the role
To develop and perform sound accounting and managerial skills in the accounting and finance areas of the company.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment and the production of high-quality products.
- Set up new projects in ERP system.
- Maintain detail and approve invoices for payment and performance bonds.
- Collect, distribute, and ensure compliance with legal garnishments.
- Work on ERP improvement projects.
- Send financial information for customer pre-qualifications.
- Maintain lease database.
- Calculate values, prepare journal entries, and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Handle revenue and cost calculations for operating division.
- Work directly with GM and plant personnel to accurately prepare and distribute monthly financial statements.
- Prepare backlog and days outstanding spreadsheets each month.
- Oversee Car-Data program including working with new entrants, system setup, monthly changes, and payment.
- Prepare and post monthly recurring journal vouchers.
- Perform month-end close of ERP system on a rotating basis.
- Prepare bank reconciliations monthly.
- Prepare and audit benefit payments for ancillary plans.
- Prepare monthly management reports.
- Prepare year-end fixed asset depreciation and tax calculations and reconciliations.
- Perform ACA calculations and checks.
- Prepare required fixed asset reports related to tax abatements.
- Prepare year-end audit schedules of asset and liability accounts.
- Assist with year-end job schedules required by audit.
Requirements
- College Degree (4-year) in Accounting is required.
- 7 to 10+ years prior experience or CPA is required.
- CPA or CMA is preferred.
