Gen AI Technologist Lead

About the role
This position will coordinate the setup and growth of the Generative AI practice within the Company, working across business areas and technical groups to understand needs, identify opportunities for the application of AI technologies and translate AI insights into actionable strategies to increase business return on investments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Research AI technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify areas where AI application can stimulate business growth, help the business on defining and analyzing the business cases, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to implement identified solutions.
- Develop, implement, and optimize Generative AI models and algorithms to solve simple and complex business problems, including Data acquisition and preparation, model performance evaluation and optimization, results presentation, monitoring, documenting and maintenance of models.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on AI-related projects, creating a development framework and standards that will keep evolving with the technology.
- Work with architecture, security, applications and other technical agents to evaluate new AI tools to adopt into the work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions within the Microsoft suite, including Azure, Power BI, and Office 365, and eventually other suites of products in the measure that vendors will make AI plug-ins available for other applications used by the business.
- Prepare monthly reports of progress that will be presented to leadership group to establish evolution of the company AI practice, accomplishments for the different initiatives, challenges and next steps.

- Knowledge of data modeling, visualization techniques and tools and statistical analysis.
- Ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, across different audiences.
Qualifications
- MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field with solid background in Data Sciences /Data Analytics, with 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Skills in programming languages like Python, R, SQL or Java.
- Experience with large language Models (LLM), natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision will be a plus.
- Certification in Microsoft Azure, Office 365 or related technologies.
- Analysis And Problem-solving Ability Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform model development.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing algorithms that can generate new data or content based on existing datasets.
- Experience in assessing the performance of generative models using metrics such as accuracy, precision, and recall.
- Decision Making Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.
- Understands and utilizes decision theory to create strategic and tactical support documents for stakeholders.
- Demonstrates solid judgment when analyzing problems and makes difficult choices under uncertain conditions in dynamic environments with many variables.
- Makes decisions related to standards and guidelines for AI development to be followed.
Scope And Impact
Accountable for recommendations and activities that have a high potential for making a significant financial impact on the company's business process and risk profile. Budgetary decisions will be coordinated with senior management, seeks to create greater business efficiencies which have financial impact against operations and maintenance budgets.
