Gel Lines Team Lead
About the Role
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership and direction for the team members in the Gel department. This position will be the go-to person for all issues involving materials, quality, and production runs.
Responsibilities
- Verify correct setup of gel machines for production runs by using documented setup procedures.
- Verify the Gel tank farm is operating correctly and escalate any issues.
- Ensure all Gel lines have the materials needed to produce daily orders.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of gel machines and palletizers when they malfunction.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and submit it to the Shift Supervisor or Quality Manager.
- Correctly enter all data into the computer system for reports, ensuring accuracy of data.
- Collaborate with Maintenance on machine functions and troubleshooting processes.
- Participate in Daily Management meetings and present the gel Daily Management Board.
- Maintain 5S standards for the gel department and conduct 5S audits for other departments.
- Communicate with leadership during your shift on any issues in production.
- Ensure all team members adhere to all safety rules and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, including assisting other departments when instructed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and oral.
Preferred qualifications include a technical background and leadership experience, as well as experience with Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for the entire shift.
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending, and stooping.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble parts.

Pay
Starting at $23 per hour.
Schedule
1st Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
