About the role

As a Gas Power Co-op/Intern, you will prepare for an exciting career tackling one of the world’s toughest challenges: providing cleaner, more accessible energy. You will receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers while growing your expertise in your chosen field and expanding your skills in new areas.

Engineering interns in Gas Power experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry, focusing on areas such as Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test. You will perform design and analysis of product lines, including steam turbines, gas turbines, gas engines, and generators.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new design concepts and design improvements.
  • Work with the drafting team to create or update drawings.
  • Partner with the manufacturing team to solve problems arising from complex manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an eligible engineering discipline:
    • Aeronautical Engineering
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Material Science Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).

Pay

The pay for this position ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 weekly, based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.
