GDIT’s 10-week Summer Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience working alongside professionals on impactful AI/ML projects for clients, including fraud, waste, and abuse initiatives at CMS.

About the role

  • Work side-by-side with GDIT professionals delivering work for clients.
  • Collaborate with a team of peers to research and propose solutions to current business challenges.
  • Participate in a mentoring circle led by an early career champion.
  • Interact with GDIT leaders and engage in professional development.
  • Contribute to AI/ML projects focused on fraud, waste, and abuse detection.
  • Collaborate with technical and subject-matter experts on AI-driven solutions.
  • Utilize AI/ML tools to develop and implement solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree program in computer science, IT, engineering, or another STEM field from a United States-based college or university.
  • Minimum of one semester remaining in studies after the internship concludes.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams).
  • Ability to work with AI software tools.
  • Full-time availability (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks during summer 2026.
  • Hybrid work location in Falls Church, VA (USA VA Falls Church - 3150 Fairview Park Dr).

Pay

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $22.95 - $31.05, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

Schedule

  • Full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks.
  • Hybrid work arrangement.
