GCP Python Consultant

Role Summary

Embed security and compliance guardrails into the GCP rollout so onboarding is secure-by-default and audit-ready.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with GCP guidelines
• Utilize IAM to enforce access controls and manage user permissions
• Write and maintain Terraform configurations for secure infrastructure deployment
• Implement encryption and decryption mechanisms for sensitive data
• Set up and operate a Security Command Center for monitoring and alerting
• Classify, categorize, and protect data based on sensitivity levels
• Manage key management systems to ensure secure handling of cryptographic keys

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud security and compliance
• Experience with GCP services such as IAM, Terraform, and Cloud Security Command Center
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
• Strong understanding of data protection and encryption techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

• CISSP or equivalent certification preferred
• Experience with security tools and frameworks like CIS benchmarks
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to cloud environments
