Key Responsibilities
- Prepare B/L shipping orders, etc. using PC.
- Enter shipping information into the TMS system to get Carrier.
- Operate the shipping Query.
- Print shipping label & export papers.
- Stencil packages.
- Maintain shipping files in compliance with company policies.
- Expedite on Premium orders.
- Cook with load out people and load freight.
- Communicate w/ Customer Service.
- Operate Printer.
- Prepares UPS shipments.
- Reports weights and dimensions on exports to Customer Service and customers who require it.
- Breaks down shipping documents.
- Determine freight charges on all prepaid and add shipments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Aids in personnel training as required.
Requirements
- Shipping experience is a plus.
- Must be familiar with SAP, Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and the internet.
- Must have excellent communication skills, great customer service skills, a quick learner and self-motivated to maximize production.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in warehouse conditions.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
- Participate in overtime/weekend coverage as needed to support production coverage.
- Follow Safety standards and PPE requirements (safety shoes, glasses, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
- Maintain 5S standards and adhere to all EHS policies.
