GC Chemist
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for analysis by GC, LC, MS, GC-MS and other techniques
- Load samples and methods on GC, LC, and other chromatographic instrumentation
- Perform data analysis and quantitation for characterization of samples
- Perform basic lab procedures (wet chemistry, pH, dilutions, extractions, etc.)
- Troubleshoot chromatographic instrumentation as needed
Qualifications
- BS in Chemistry or related science
- Minimum 1 year of chromatography experience
- Experience working with and troubleshooting HPLC and GC preferred
- Experience with Chemstation, OpenLab or Masshunter would be preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to meet deadlines and multitask
- Good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase
- Good organizational skills, record keeping and follow through will be integral to success
- Communicate effectively verbally and by e-mail
Pay
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule
Shift Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
